Greetings from Perth! :D
Its my 19th day here and lots of things had took place.
It was my first time taking the budget airline and it pretty much suck. HAHA. Food and drinks were so expensive but I couldnt resist the thirst and hunger! Blehhhh. People do take food and drinks up to the plane when they said no.! What the heck? Gonna do that but that's if Im taking budget again.
Over the spread of 11 days, time was spent on:
- hearing scary stories about the night life of Perth which made me wanna go back to Spore when I'm barely an hour in Perth :S
- walking to the nearby supermart and seeing how was it like.
- sourcing for internet and the landlord was kinda selfish to not lend us their wireless despite us paying AUD$100/night.! His grandchildren was so nice to tell us there's a public library across the field.
- Wasted one day at home sleeping since my brother wont be arriving the next day. I dont know why, but my sleeping time here is really early. I go to bed at 10/11pm and waking up at 8/9am. I dont even do that in Spore! HA!
- Cooking with whatever there was. My first meal was Mac and the eat-fast-food-once-a-month was immediately cut off the moment I arrived. Wth! And the next few meals were maggi meal and stuff like that till we rented a car to buy proper food.
- Looking at apartment for rental and car.
- Signing up for library card and getting access into the internet! :D
- Meeting mum's friends who we will need help from.
- Mum's friend suggesting to stay together with another friend of hers to cut cost.
- Visiting tourist attractions - Swan Valley. They had the Margaret River Chocolate Company (which I visited in 2005), lots and lots of vineyards (bought really sweet big grapes and rock melon, wine tasting, honey tasting, and nougat factory (the nougat arent really nice because it was so soft and not crunchy when i ate them at home! but they had really nice coffee with nice art on them)
- Fremantle for their market and fish&chips!
- Decided to stay together with mum's friend in this REALLY big house. Hehehehe. 8D
- Going to the shopping outlet which sucks!!! I miss shopping in the US! ):
- Northbridge -where Chinatown is located- for dim sum.
- Been shown this place where all the Singaporean and Malaysian food are. They even had the "Singapore Hawker Food" signboard.
- Lastly, experiencing 42 degrees Celsius which kill!!!!!!
20th to 25th of Jan was spent in the stay-in Orientation. Was so scared and reluctant to go because I really dislike meeting new people! :<
Was super nervous that I had butterflies in my stomach. Haha. Mum and korz went with me till the students and parents had to go into seperate rooms. Followed darling's advice - pick a target and stick with the target! It worked! :D But also because, the girl was friendly and told me to sit with her. (:
Spent the whole of orientation with Ivyna and Hebe who we asked to sit with us. Did lots of stuffs throughout orientation.
Had to fill in lots of forms on the first night and we gathered together with the people living in this dorm. Finally found 2 Singaporeans~~!! And I nearly cried when I was lying on my bed because it was so freaking hot!! They didnt gave us fan nor aircon but a small pathetic window near the bed which made my room like a jail cell!! -.-""" (And I forgotten to take a picture of it!) Called my dustbin, hahaha, to complain and gradually fell asleep after pulling the bed right in front of the small window to feel some wind.
Mum and korz came the next day with a fan! YAYYYYYY. But it was actually windy that day and I felt cold that night! Ahhhhhhhhhh~ Whatever to me. Felt kinda emotional when night came. Especially during the bush dance event. It was stupid and tiring that I stopped halfway and talked to this Curtin Uni student who's only 21 years old and she's already a 3rd year student!! Made me felt so bloody oldddddddddddddd!!!!!! ): Because most of the people are about 2 years younger than me. EEW.
Skipped Friday's dinner so I could have dinner with Mum and korz. Felt so great to be home and evem better to take a good shower with bigger space.... (: Mum said I looked so lively compared to when Im in the jail. HAHAHA. Fun time always passed so fast that it was time to go back to my cell...
Skipped the Saturday's shopping trip and had fast food (YES, again! I think its my fourth time for this month already?) for dinner with mum before we sent her off to the airport and back to the dorms. HAHAHA. Notice it isnt jail anymore? Because I didnt felt so homesick or whatever negative already. Hehe. Met Ivyna and Hebe on coincidence and surfed the net till 11 something.
Okayyyyyy, its kinda kiasu but Ivyna and me were the first to get our enrolment of classes done because the earlier you are done, the more free time you will have till lunch! Was intending to sleep but I couldnt. Went to surf net first and took a short nap till lunch. Made our way to Caversham Wildlife Park and only realised I been there in 2005 too! But the little time yet large number of people we had could only let us see the wombat, kangaroo, farm show, and koala. Not so bad since the weather wasnt that hot.
Showered and had BBQ for dinner where the fun started! :D
Based on our last experience of the BBQ, we didnt had seats so Ivyna went to chop a seat while we took our food. 5 guys came and asked if they could sit with us and I was glad they did! Because they are SUPER funny!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I didnt seen them before till that day and its such a pity! Kept teasing Timothy by calling him a retarted and cinderella~~~
Was wondering if I should do my laundry but decided not to since we need to pay.. :/ And guys are really guys... Timothy told Hebe and me that we could do our laundry together. Both of us were like o.o. After a while, the guys came back telling us that its free. Both of us were so excited and we quickly rushed back to take our dirty clothes. Ahh~ Dont need to handwash so much clothes. YAY! Went to play dai ti while and Tim's so funny to set alarm on his phone for the washing machine! OMG. 4 of us decided to go take a look at our clothes and we actually spent a long time there where PH (we made fun of his name by calling him bitch because if you pronounced ph fast, it sounds like bitch. all this started because of Yung who looks like yaoming! Lol.) said we went somewhere else to wash our clothes.
Went into the common room where the guys and Ivyna played snooker while Hebe and me surfed the net. The duty officer came and told everyone to get back since the door needs to be locked already.. Went out and played dai ti where so many funny things happened especially when Yung and Kevin threw out their last card thinking it was spade of J instead of 8. Everyone was shocked why they did that and ended up laughing at them! Ohgosh! If only we had a video of that man! Another funny thing was everyone getting "drunk" from the water cooler. Couldnt opened my eyes anymore and went to sleep at 130am while the rest continued till 230am. The guys even went to tour UWA after that! Crazy~
Brought down our luggages after breakfast and OMG, Hebe has like 5 luggages which all total up to 80kg! O.O Luckily the guys helped her when she expects Ivyna and me to help! Sat together and started laughing early in the morning at things like me insisting it was a mango but they said its an orange.! which I was right in the end (; , Yung being asked to stand at the door to stop people from pulling their luggages into the common room, and me saying the feather as peacock feather because I couldnt remember how a peacock feather looked like all of the sudden. :X
We cheered when PH could answered questions even though PH slept for 2 plus hours only. Haha. Went to UWA and we got split. Blehhh. Forced Timothy and Yung to take picture with the naked girl statue we saw in the Uni. HAHA. :P Finally got back after the not-so-interesting walk and talked to the representatives from UWA before it was lunch! It was a last minute decision to have lunch in Trinity (the place we stayed throughout the 5 days) after all and also because Hebe has mango!! :D What? A weakness for mango? :P Tsktsk. PH thinks the way Hebe and me cut the fruit was wrong that he didnt want to eat it but we kept forcing with knives pointing at him and giving the fruit with the knife instead of a fork. HAHAHAHA.
And it was time to leave~ Felt a little sad and I still remembered me telling korz to come asap and not be late even for a second because I cant stand being in that jail anymore. Lollll. Its funny how my attitude towards thing can be SO different. I wish I could be a more optimistic person! Its funny how PH told me not to point knives at people the next time before I left. :P
26th was a public holiday where half of the day was spent helping the 5M family moved things. Gonna go crab catching this Saturday and eating them + laska on Sunday. The other half was spent video calling with jh and it was quite fun and funny! Miss Wapi and Storm after seeing them through the webcam and Storm was so cute by barking when he saw the webcam! Lol. (:
Ivyna texted and asked if I wanted to join them to celebrate Yung's bday but because of how far it was, I decided not to go. Next, Hebe also texted me and asked if I wanna go to the city with them but I was lazy to go.... Felt so bad!! ): Now!, Im still thinking if I wanna go for the workshop this Friday and I havent register for it either! Oh goshhhhhhhhhhh. I better stop being like this if not Im gonna lose my new friends!
How long has it been since my last lengthy post? Shall publish this now and let my eyes rest from the long hours of staring at this screen.
